Welcome to the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra's 71st Season! We feature music spanning three centuries, four continents, and the full range of human emotion and experience. Joining us on our musical journey are Cleveland Piano Competition first prize winner Alexander Ghindin, a rising star of the piano world Yevgeny Sudbin, and violin virtuoso Pip Clarke. At the Palace Theater experience the rhythm and electricity of the Big Band Era with vocal group Five By Design in Club Swing, and the incomparable Julie Budd will lend Valentine's Day her special brand of vocal romance. After our musical forays far and wide, we come back home in May, 2009, for the world premiere of the "Fortune Cantata." Please join us for a season of magnificent musical journeys - we've saved a special seat just for you!
